Sacred Song

In the gentle whispers of sacred plea,

Pie Jesu, your mercy sets us free.

With each note that soars and softly weaves,

Dona eis requiem, eternal reprieve.

Agnus Dei, lamb of grace divine,

You carry burdens, sins of mine.

In your embrace, forgiveness is found,

Dona eis requiem, peace profound.

Through the echoes of this sacred song,

Requiem, a melody that’s strong.

It touches hearts with its soothing sway,

Dona eis requiem, forever and a day.

A Love That’s Real

I tell you, Sir, I’ve reached a state,

Where all the world is out of date.

I have no use for men who dare

To speak of love but breathe despair.

Their hollow hearts, their empty praise,

Are nothing but deceitful ways.

So, keep your pledges and your vows,

Your honeyed words and courtly bows.

I’d rather be alone and free

Than bound by chains of treachery.

For in my heart, I know it’s true:

A love that’s real must first be you.
